Combining my love of dogs, especially Georgia bulldogs, with my passion for art led me to paint pet portraits almost ten years ago. I work closely from photographs, along with your stories to capture the essence of your pet. As a mom to three boys, two bulldogs and a German Shepherd, I enjoy seeing a dog’s personality emerge and come to life on canvas. My work appears in many private collections, as well as the Thea Foundation Art Across Arkansas Collection and the Permanent Collection of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library.
All portraits are created in acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas and take six to eight weeks to complete. To begin your commissioned pet portrait give me a call at 501-690-0472.
The commission process begins by determining the size of the painting you need. Then collect all the photographs of your pet and choose your favorites that really bring out his or her personality. I work closely from photographs and will need one or two really good, crisp photographs of the face and eyes, along with a few of the body. If you do not have any photos that you would like to use, photo sessions are available at a discounted rate for the purpose of paintings.
The painting can include the face only or full body at no additional cost. Prices are for one pet per painting. For each additional pet add 20%. Standard sizes and prices are listed below, other sizes are available. A 50% deposit is required to begin your commission and hold your spot in line with the remainder due upon delivery.
