What an honor it was this week to have Walter and my Special Attention Sessions for terminally ill pets featured on KATV. I want to give a big thank you to Katherina Yancy for telling his story and doing such a great job. I have included the video below but if you are unable to see it click here to view.

A few weeks ago a friend, and client, texted me asking if I knew anyone who could babysit for her because all of her usual sitters were busy. After a few attempts to try to find someone and not having any luck, I offered to do it. I wasn’t doing anything and figured this would be fun and a great way to relieve some stress. I also brought along my camera because I have always wanted to photograph kids and families just being themselves. I wasn’t sure what I would get, if anything. I didn’t want them to pose, I just wanted to capture them in their own environment relaxing, having fun and just being brothers. I can report that fun was had by all and a few rules may or may not have been broken. We mastered the yo yo, put out a few fires, watched a few movies and if you look closely you may just spot someone who closely resembles Walter.

Brittney, These are amazing! Any parent would LOVE having these kind of photos. I think you’ve found a new arena for photography!

Is she not absolutely gorgeous? I mean REALLY! I just love these pictures. And she brought her dog, Rebel, with her too. She is going to fit right in at Ole Miss in the fall.

Somehow our Christmas card photo slipped by and didn’t make it onto the site last year. Of course it is obvious that there is some photoshopping going on here but believe it or not those three dogs are all from the same photograph. I was so happy that I didn’t end up having to composite them all in from different photos. Those boys sure know what to do when they see a camera.

Congratulations to Gracie! She is the winner of Walter + Albert’s Hot Dog Contest. Isn’t she just the hottest dog? She was a lot of fun and very easy to photograph. Way to go Gracie! I look forward to telling her story in her very own “Dog Tail” book that will include all the gorgeous photos from her pet photography session. You can check out the other hot finalists in Walter + Albert’s Hot Dog Contest here.
